Krejčí: Strength in Connection: The ŽENY Bridges Generations and Opens Up Taboo Topics

THE ŽENY
Each year, the educational dimension of the project
expands. Which topics do you currently consider
the most important, and how do you address them
through workshops, campaigns, or activities with
schools?
Every year we focus on several key themes that remain
persistently relevant — mental health, social exclusion,
bullying, and addiction. Last year we opened up the
topic of fertility and women’s health; this year we’re
focusing on building self-worth. We work on these
themes with specialists and non-profit organisations that
also offer one-to-one support with real-world examples.
Our partners play a major role as well, with whom
we create online campaigns — for example, with Xbox
we develop the topic of mental health in the context
of gaming; with NOTINO we open up the theme of self-
worth (Feel Good); and with Heimstaden we prepare
young people for managing their first home.
I’m glad that thanks to these collaborations we can give
a voice to issues that should not be taboo — at any age.
This year you selected six remarkable women from
different fields to become ambassadors of The ŽENY.
Who are these woman, and what criteria guided
your decision?
This year, we carefully chose women who have not
only achieved success but, above all, carry a powerful
story of humanity and courage that young people
and women across generations can relate to.
They include, for example, Jasmína Houdek, who
fights against sexualised violence, which she herself
experienced; Taťána Kuchařová, who has long
supported seniors and shared great sensitivity
and humanity for our interview; Karolína Mališová, Miss
Earth winner, who shares her story of battling alopecia;
Lucie Ráčková, a young scientist who endured bullying
and later took part in the prestigious space programme
Space Studies and an expedition to Antarctica; Martina
Ptáčková, a world champion in combat sports who
overcame a serious injury and today works as a security
analyst for NATO; and Kateřina Bílly Danyšová,
a native of the Beskydy Mountains who now heads
the largest network of diagnostic laboratories in the
Czech Republic.
Each of them embodies not only achievement but also
values.
Thank you for the interview.
There is a genuine inter-generaonal
connecon, where women inspire not
only other women, but also young people
who see real role models in them.
Vindy Krejčí thrives at the intersecon of business,
media and public life. She was one of the faces
of TV Nova and later hosted the legendary programme
Sama doma on Czech Television. In 2023, she founded
the plaorm The ŽENY, which connects generaons
and elds, creates opportunies for growth, and gives
a voice to issues that should not be taboo.
