REGION

Where do your exports go?

Recently, we have had some 60 % of our turnover sold in

Slovakia. Our long-term customers are mainly located in

India, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Turkey. We

also have delivered our contracts to Mongolia, South Africa

and Iran.

is a great success that

“we...itprovide

global services

from Frýdek-Místek

”

What do you consider the company’s greatest recent

achievement?

We succeeded in finishing our first project in India during

the COVID time, after twelve years of preparation. That

is a huge success. We also signed our third contract in

India four years ago thanks to which HUTNÍ PROJEKT

Frýdek-Místek was, for the first time, appointed as a chief

company in a consortium of businesses responsible for the

construction of the chemical plant of a coke production

facility in Visakhapatnam.

Lately we have been intensively promoting our services

related to chemical industries (organic as well as inorganic)

and to ecologisation projects (reduction of solid pollutants,

dust, SOx, NOx). Our strategy is designed to keep the

company busy and efficient when working on challenging

and interesting contracts after the use of coke and coal will

have been abandoned.

Our achievements include the transformation to

construction and design 3D technologies and BIM, where

we are the leaders, still searching for new colleagues to help

us further proceed in this difficult yet highly inspiring task.

Last but not least, let me remember our employees: it is

a great success that we provide global services from FrýdekMístek. That would never be possible without excellent

human resources.

Do you support social events, non-profit organizations,

etc.?

We do our best where necessary. For years, our employees

have been competing in the cycling race Kolo pro život

(Bikes for Lives) which raises funds for oncological patients.

For many years, we have also been sponsoring Mezinárodní

folklorní festival (International Folk Festival) in FrýdekMístek, and supporting various sporting events.

How does a person with a schedule as busy as yours

relax? Where and how do you recharge batteries?

I go cycling and playing golf. These are my favourite leisure

activities. What I love best is hiking and Lysá hora where

I go on a regular basis. If I skip a fortnight, I feel like a fish

out of water. I occasionally drive to where I was born, the

east of Slovakia where I can just stand and look and draw

energy from the forests. This charges my batteries for about

half a year before they go flat again.

Mr Jenčo, thank you for the interview.
