Fast connections from the centre of Ostrava The hotel and restaurant Pod Zeleným dubem (Green Oak) is situated in the historic centre of Starý Bohumín, on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. It is an eight-minute drive from the centre of Ostrava, with a good connection to the motorway D1/A1. We manage a three-star hotel based upon the tradition of a coaching inn, which dates back to the 17th century. We rent modern rooms, run a restaurant with home made Czech, Polish and Silesian cuisine, and offer a hall to hold social events. Our hotel has a reception desk with an information centre, town museum and the Oderberg Beer and Music Spa. The building is barrier-free, equipped with a lift. For Businesses The hotel is proud of its large art nouveau historic hall equipped with professional light, sound, and multimedia technologies with two projectors. Depending on furnishing, the hall can seat an audience of 160-180 people. The room is an ideal facility to hold a business conference, presentation, lecture, instruction, ball, and other events. We provide catering and guarantee professional service, and open access to our restaurant. The large hall has a capacity of up to 180 guests and the small hall of 50, which, in combination with the magic of the historic building, makes a perfect choice. Hotel The three-star hotel has 11 rooms for 30 guests, and together with our sister hotel, Castle Chalupki (Zamek Chalupki) we can comfortably house 60 guests for the night. The rooms are single-, double-, or triple- bedded with a bathroom, a TV with Czech and Polish programmes, wifi, a fridge and a safety locker.
