biggest players in the e-commerce market
for supplements and healthy foods –
BrainMarket.cz – where theres always
something exciting in the works. Currently,
I shoot all of their product photography
and help them to create content not only for
the eshop, but also for all their social media
platforms.
But the most fun experience I’ve had was
working with my friend, singer and rapper
Marpo. We flew to Nashville, Tennessee,
where I documented the recording process
of his album and also shot the album
cover and booklet. It was amazing both
professionally and personally – to spend
time in such an inspiring environment
and capture the atmosphere of a project
like that. This year, we returned to Nashville
again, this time for almost a month, for
the recording of his next album. Not only
did I shoot the entire booklet, but we
also managed to film three music videos
at a Nashville film studio. That’s one of the
great things about the USA. We recorded
at East Iris Studio, which is divided into
several smaller complexes. The one
we worked in had hosted legends like Elvis
Presley and Prince. Right across the way was
another studio where The Beatles, Taylor
Swift, Post Malone – basically all the global
stars – have recorded.
Youre a graduate of 1
st
ISO. Which skills
or knowledge gained during your studies
there do you find most useful in your
work? The school offers an international
curriculum – how do you see its value
compared to the traditional Czech
education system?
The school helped me develop my creativity
and supported me in my creative pursuits.
It also encouraged me to think outside
the box. It really prepared me well for
university studies, especially thanks to its
open approach to teaching and its focus
on developing critical thinking.
The international curriculum is great for
anyone who wants to continue their
education at prestigious universities,
expand their critical thinking, and stay
informed about global affairs. Personal
growth also plays a big role through these
kinds of educational programmes. That said,
the Czech high school diploma can also
prepare students very well – it all depends
on the mindset and approach.
What advice would you give your younger
self at 1
st
ISO?
If I could go back and give myself one piece
of advice, it would be this: learn to connect
things earlier. In high school, it often feels like
we’re learning a bunch of unrelated subjects
– biology, literature, maths, history... each
class seems to exist in its own bubble. But in
reality, its all part of a bigger puzzle.
At a younger age, it’s hard to see that –
we often study just to pass a test or get
a grade. But if I had understood back then
that everything is interconnected, maybe
I would have enjoyed learning more.
And more importantly, I would have been
able to start asking the right questions
sooner. Because the more connections you
make, the better you understand the world
– and, in turn, yourself.
How do you continue learning? Do you
keep up with the latest trends?
I read a lot, I’m interested in the work
of other creators, and I follow trends
online. I try to find inspiration in my
surroundings – in ads, social media posts,
and so on. I don’t just look at adverts
as a consumer, but also as an analyst.
I ask myself why a particular ad works,
what resonates with the target audience,
and what emotions it triggers. I try to break
down the good ones in detail – the insight,
the tone of voice, the storytelling, visuals,
and messaging. Theres something to learn
from every single one.
I constantly keep an eye on evolving trends
in marketing, design, communication,
and human behaviour. To me, the internet
is a living organism – it brings new ideas,
approaches, and formats every day.
I read professional articles, newsletters,
and analyses because I want to understand
not just what is happening, but why. I’m
interested in what works and how it shapes
how people perceive brands.
Do you have a “photography dream”
– a place, person, or event youd love
to capture one day?
Since I was a kid, I dreamt of shooting
concerts and touring with bands. That
dream has already come true – I now work
as a photographer and video maker with
the Czech country singer/rapper Marpo.
We’ve toured all over the Czech Republic
together and played in the biggest
venues, including the O
2
arena and more.
Over the course of my career, I’ve
photographed a number of international
acts like Bring Me The Horizon, Imagine
Dragons, Korn, Rammstein, Machine Gun
Kelly, Macklemore, and many others.
But my biggest dream would be to
photograph today’s leading global country
star – Post Malone. Going on tour with
him across the USA as his photographer
would be a dream come true.
What are your goals and plans for
the future?
My main goal is to keep growing in what
I do – whether it’s creatively, strategically,
or in terms of how I approach content
creation and brand building. I enjoy
looking at things from a broader
perspective, making connections, and at
the same time being able to create
something in detail that carries meaning,
emotion, and impact.
One of my long-term dreams is to build
my own media agency – not just “another
ad company, but a team of people who
help brands in a truly comprehensive
way – from concept to execution to fine-
tuning the smallest details.
I see huge potential in companies that want
to communicate differently – smarter,
more clearly. And that’s exactly where I’d
like to help – whether through content
strategy, strong visuals, high-quality
product photography, compelling copy,
or performance and brand campaigns.
Thank you for the interview.
