EDITORIAL Ing. Aleš Vítek Šéfredaktor POSITIV Business & Style Editor-in-chief of POSITIV Business & Style Průmyslová tradice s vizí… Firemní a sociální prostředí se globalizuje, české a nadnárodní firmy evidují v našem kraji asi 23,5 tisíce zaměstnaných občanů z vyspělých evropských zemí a tito lidé zde přinášejí novou firemní kulturu a své znalosti. Industrial tradition with vision We have many reasons to consider 2018 the most significant year in the economic history of the Czech Republic as well as the Moravian-Silesian Region. We can evaluate the developments of the industrial potential concentrated historically in our region, providing a foundation for this recent economic and social progress. This is a region whose people understand the necessity of continuous development and coming up with new visions in industry and other fields which will take us into a new dimension not limited by the borders of our region. Corporate and social environments have become globalized; Czech and international businesses report 23,500 employees from European countries who have brought with them new corporate culture, knowledge and skill. Industry and related businesses make the base of the economy of the region and are taking the road to innovation with higher added value. This is one of the main subjects of the new issue of the magazine you are now holding. POSITIV presents the ideas of top managers of leading companies, e.g. Třinecké železárny, ČEZ ESCO, etc. but also of the regional governor who describes the impact of Industry 4.0 on the development and economics of the region. This issue brings an interview with the CEO of Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, an orchestra representing the great cultural qualities of the region. Being a magazine promoting the region, we focused on the districts of Opava and Bruntál, too. Interesting commercial and public sphere projects are taking place there to develop and form the image and shape of the region as a whole. POSITIV ǀ 3/2018 1
