STYLE Architecture in Silesia: not strictly academic The present building of Silesian University in Opava (built in the 1870s) is situated in the protective zone of the Urban Protected Area Opava. Renewal plans are in the works modernize the present building and incorporate it in the new functional environment. The renewal of the central building was made so as to revive its original design.
