why the course in Lipiny won the best evaluation in
the 2018 category of nine-hole courses in the annual
Všudehrálové summary by the most active golfers.
“How the lay public sees golf has significantly changed
for the better in the past seven years. This makes us
happy, however, we know that recruiting players is
a long-term job. Our introductory lessons with training
at the open course and the basics of golfing etiquette
will hopefully support that,” Malina said.
Trained beginners get a “Start Card”; there have been
four and a half thousand issued since introductory
lessons started in 2014, 700 in 2018 alone. Golfers from
Poland have also discovered the charms and attractions
of the Lipiny Golf Resort. The golf school for children
is regularly attended by fifty boys and girls, and one
of the elementary schools in Karviná (ZŠ Dělnická)
included golf as one of its elective subjects. “2019 will
be very busy. Our calendar already lists seventy-three
events and open tournaments. We start the first nine-
hole tournament on Friday, April 12. The most attractive
novelty is an annual membership with an unlimited play
pass worth CZK9,900. We are very grateful for support
and favour, and we are looking forward to seeing you in
2019,“ Malina concluded.
