I am proud of all the activities that we
do in this field. For example, our experts
participate in lessons in schools, we
organize IT training for teachers and we
steadily have over 100 active students
on internships all over the company.
We collaborate with, to name a few, MS
Pakt, MSIC, the City authority of the city
of Ostrava, etc. Our interns can already
proudly display several completed
projects. They have developed two
applications for the non-profit sphere that
were donated to these organizations by
TietoEVRY as a gift. We have also started
providing equipment in collaboration
with schools and the city authority of the
City of Ostrava and we have provided

What language do you use for
communication within the company? Are
there, for example, any Finnish lessons in
the company for you and your employees?
The corporate language of the company
is English. The employees can sign up for
English and German courses, but we also
provide Finnish and Swedish lessons.
Are you personally inspired by
the Finnish people in something?
How do they differ from us Czech people
in their professional or private life?
The Nordic culture has no hierarchies,
which is in part different from us. Other than
that, I am impressed by their care of the
environment they live in. I also appreciate
the transparency and mutual trust in the
It is interesting that the TietoEVRY
management decided to settle primarily
in Moravia in the Czech Republic. Why
Yes, most of our branches are in Moravia.
It is a very good strategic place, thanks to
its proximity to Poland, where large urban
agglomerations are located. Together with
Slovakia and the Czech Republic, this
area creates an important hub. Also, the
fact that the quality universities and high
schools are located here is important,
because it means having enough experts.
However, we operate also in other regions.
For example, we also have employees in
České Budějovice and Liberec.
Thank you very much for the interview.
