‘The Scandinavian A-Player’, Danish
Transport and Logistics Company DSV,
Keeps Growing Despite the Pandemic
The Danish transport and logistics company DSV has been operating in three divisions
in the Czech Republic for twenty-three years. DSV Road arranges both international and domestic
road transport, additionaly partload and groupage services to all European destinations. DSV Air
& Sea provides not only airfreight and seafreight, but also rail and project transport. The youngest,
but the more progressive division from the trio-DSV Solutions-provides logistics and warehousing
services to its customers.
DSV has its branches, hubs and warehouses strategically
located all over the republic. The company keeps growing
thanks to the globally successful M&A strategy. At the
moment, after the finalization of the acquisition of the
Panalpina company, DSV employs almost 600 employees
in the Czech Republic. Its turnover reached more than
3.5 billion Czech crowns in 2020.

of the pandemic, the seafreight part more or less was not
impacted by the situation. On the contrary, airfreight was
suddenly a totally new market. As roughly 70–90 % of all
passenger flights were cancelled and a large volume of
airfreight was moved to being belly cargo on PAX flights,
we needed to find alternatives. Fortunately, DSV had, after
the merger with Panalpina, a very strong set-up with its
