With Courage Into Places Not For Everyone

account physical fitness and the make-up
of the group – such as the balance of men
and women, or age distribution.
The group dynamic is crucial for us, because
it’s what truly shapes the atmosphere of the
expedition. And that atmosphere is created
by the people – not the destination.
We want to preserve quality, the sense
of community, and a personal approach.
That’s where we see our added value – it’s
not just about where we go, but with whom.
The participants in your trips aren’t just
young adventurers. Do entrepreneurs
also travel with you?
Yes, often. Many of them are no longer
interested in conventional holidays. They’re
looking for a challenge, but in a controlled
and well-organised environment. We take
care of everything – from logistics
and equipment to consultations about
the physical demands. If someone
signs up for a tough trek in Bolivia’s
Cordillera Real – which has 15 passes
over 5,000 metres and ends with a six-
thousander – and at the same time admits
they’ve only ever been as far as the Tatras,
we recommend a different, more suitable
route.
What do you think is the main reason
why people come back to you?
Trust. The certainty that it will be authentic,
honest, and full of experiences. And that
they’ll meet like-minded people. More
than 60% of our participants travel with
us repeatedly. We’re building a community,
not just a product. We also have
a membership system – basic and active.
Some expeditions are open only to active
members – people we know, whose
experience we understand, and whose
abilities we can rely on.
What new things are you preparing?
Next year we’re adding several new
expeditions, such as ascents of Makalu
(8,485 m), Denali (6,190 m), the highest
mountains of Colombia. We are also
preparing more relaxed trips like father-
and-children expeditions, new treks across
Europe, or road trips through Central Asia.
We always look for a balance between
extremes and accessibility. With our travel
agency, anyone can find a journey – for
those who want to experience the world
differently than with a cocktail by the
pool-but we can do that too.
Thank you for the interview.
