Paerns. And the Potenal
to Transform Enre Industries
From Ostrava to the world. Within a short me, Michael Blažík has built Rankacy – his own AI
plaorm that processes hundreds of terabytes of data and aracts global aenon. Born in the
gaming environment, it now reaches far beyond – into educaon, healthcare, defence and industry.
It leverages unique digital data and turns it into tools that help people make beer decisions.
And something more is that it brings top-class technology, foreign investment and meaningful jobs
to the region.
When did you establish Rankacy and what was
the vision behind it?
I started in 2023, when I joined forces with researchers
from VŠB-TUO with the aim of using data from
computer games to improve the performance
of professional e-sports teams. Together we confirmed
that such data collection and analysis was technically
feasible – and soon realised it made sense to go
further. We focused on the game Counter-Strike,
played by more than 40 million people worldwide,
and decided to create an AI tool that would help
ordinary players improve their performance.
We reached out to a foreign investor who found
the project so compelling that he even brought
a top AI advisor to Ostrava – a man with a PhD in AI
from Oxford, who had advised giants like Sequoia
Capital, Softbank and Andreessen Horowitz, and had
previously worked for Apple, even directly with Steve
Jobs. We secured him as a non-executive director –
he tracks trends, sets the direction in AI, and consults
with us monthly on development.
What has this collaboration produced specifically?
In 2024 we defined our first product – the Rankacy
platform, a so-called decision support system.
In September of that year, we launched the first
alpha version, which was quickly adopted by tens
of thousands of users. Based on their feedback,
we continue to fine-tune individual features and the
interface.
Rankacy provides in-depth performance analysis in the
game, evaluates a players strengths and weaknesses,
tracks performance development and, using our
patented technology, automatically generates clips
of the best in-game moments.
Today, Rankacy has over 40,000 users from more than
150 countries. Our largest markets include the USA,
Western Europe, Vietnam and Mongolia. We are
currently finalising the beta version with a new user
interface and the first monetisation features – including
longer videos, more detailed data and premium
analyses.
How important is the gathered data for you?
Crucial. In a short time, we’ve collected a huge volume
of unique gaming data on human behaviour in team
play and on decision-making under pressure – ideal for
training AI models.
Thanks to a strong team of PhD-level AI programmers,
we prepared this data for machine learning
and developed our own GPRT model – similar
to ChatGPT, but trained on gaming data instead of text.
It can evaluate performance, predict player behaviour,
and actively support improvement.
