BrainMarket, a company that has grown within just
a few years into one of the leaders in healthy nutrition,
dietary supplements, and biohacking, is now entering
a new chapter of its Ostrava journey. From its original
premises on Cihelní Street, it has moved into brand-
new facilities: P3 Ostrava Central – Vítkovice 3053,
703 00 Ostrava.
Relocating a logistics centre is one of those moments
that tests a team’s readiness, their quality of planning,
and the ability to improvise. In our case, it was a move
into a new premises that, for the first time, allowed us to
adapt the warehouse to our needs –not the other way
around, as it had been until now. As Marek Tomíček,
who oversaw the entire logistics move mentions: “This
time, the building adapts to us, not us to it.”
A Move Without Interrupting Operations
Our goal was to manage the relocation without
any major impact on customers – and we believe
we succeeded. On Friday at 1:30 p.m., we closed
dispatch at the old warehouse, and by Sunday
the first shipments had already left the new facility
on their way to customers. A week before the actual
move, we launched a test run, with 20% of dispatch
already taking place from the new warehouse. This
allowed us to fine-tune processes in time and verify
the readiness of the new premises.
Thorough Preparation
The move was not just about physically relocating.
Beforehand, we carried out a detailed analysis
of how goods would be arranged in the new
warehouse. The aim was to make processes more
efficient – reducing unnecessary walking, simplifying
replenishment, and above all, increasing warehouse
performance. In practice, this means faster dispatch
and thus quicker delivery of orders to customers.
What Lies Ahead
Although the main part of the relocation is behind us,
the next phase is only beginning. We now face the task
of fine-tuning details and gradually implementing
changes that will lead to even greater efciency
and better use of space.
Acknowledgements
A huge thank you goes to our warehouse colleagues,
who managed the relocation practically “on the go
without major complications. And, of course, to our
customers, who remained loyal to us during this
demanding period.
