BUSINESS
These expert teachers are essentially
training their future colleagues here.
In addition, we also give our students
space to build upon their own ideas.
For example, the student-led company
Hashtag is working with real clients and
has received many commissions.
Our applied research is also at a high
level. The European Center for Business
Research is part of our institution and
it aims to connect the university with
practical experience. We discuss real-
life examples from different companies
and institutions which allows us to
see the practical impact of various
solutions. Our experts are also active in
the international academic community, for
instance, prof. Ing. Aleksandr Ključnikov,
Ph.D., who recently presented his results
in Sorbonne, France.
We want our school to remain
accessible. The cost of studies at our
institutions is comparable to public
universities abroad, however, we
also offer an individual approach and
a strong throughline to professional
work life. All of this is helping us shed
the label most private schools are given.
A bilingual curriculum and English
courses are essential for success in
the modern global job market. In what
ways does the university support
language education and help students
prepare for an international career?
We offer 3 programmes in english:
Air Transport, Entrepreneurship and
Management, and Tourism. These
programmes run parallel to their Czech
counterparts and include foreign
students. Other than that we also have
contracts with 135 universities abroad
as part of the Erasmus+ programme. Last
year around 50 of our students left for
internships abroad and we welcomed
70 foreign students at our university. These
opportunities offer students language skill
development and international experience.
What is in store for the Paneuropean
University in the near future?
We are putting the finishing touches
on our campus in Prague, which we
plan to open in September of 2025.
We are building a university that is
not only an academic space, but also
a bridge between education and
the professional sphere. In the year
2000 we founded the College of
Business in Ostrava, and the owners
subsequently decided to create
a university in Prague as well. Thanks
to some hard work and a clear vision,
in 2022 we managed to reach a point
where we had a university that could
offer a doctoral study programme. For
now, we maintained the original faculty
names, however we are planning to
alter them. Our vision is to become
a university that blends education,
practice and innovation at the highest
level.
Mr. Rector, thank you for the interview.
“
Earning the instuonal
accreditaon was a key success
for us as we are currently
the only private university
in Czechia with this status.
