In September 2024, a grand gala evening was
held to announce the results of the prestigious
Stavba Moravskoslezského kraje (Building
of the Moravian-Silesian Region) competition. This
year, the 18th edition attracted a record number
of 62 entries. The Grand Prix, the main prize
of the competition, was awarded to Dům služeb
v Palkovicích (obecní úřad), recognised for its
outstanding architectural design and contribution
to the community life of the village.
The competition aims to highlight exceptional
projects and personalities in construction and
architecture that contribute to the region's
development, improve the quality of life for
residents, and enhance the area's appeal.
Presenting these achievements is crucial not only
for professionals but also for the general public,
inspiring further innovative projects.
The gala evening once again confirmed that
the Moravian-Silesian Region is a place where
not only functional but also aesthetically and
architecturally valuable buildings are created.

Entries for the 19
th
edition of the competition can
be submitted by any participant in the construction
process—investors, contractors, designers, or
property owners.
Only buildings located within the Moravian-Silesian
Region that were approved by a building authority
in 2023 or 2024 are eligible for submission.
The deadline for submissions is March 17, 2025.
