The company invests more than CZK 30 million annually in the development of advanced control
systems. Last year, for example, it launched a modern digital AVR Safety regulator, cered
under the strictest soware standard for nuclear supplies (ČSN IEC 60880), designed for control
and monitoring systems in the highest safety category according to ČSN EN 61226. “We plan
to deploy the digital regulator not only in projects for the construcon of new units at the
Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant, but also in other domesc and internaonal nuclear energy
projects,” explains Ivo Tichý, Execuve Director and Vice-Chairman of the Board of ZAT a.s.
The Czech control system already manages more than
80 per cent of the operated units at the Dukovany
nuclear power plant. “And we believe we will be able
to provide our high-quality deliveries and services
to a similar extent for the new Dukovany units as well.
More than 300 of our employees are fully qualified for
this,” adds Ivo Tichý. The company has also recently
expanded its production capacities and invested in the
modernisation of its manufacturing technologies. At the
same time, ZAT customers value the comprehensive

units across 9 countries, including the Czech
Republic and Slovakia. They also manage research
and experimental reactors as well as related nuclear
