Multifunctional Sports Hall

in Ostrava-Krásné Pole

REGION

In mid-October 2020, the new multifunctional sports hall

in Ostrava-Krásné Pole opened, which will house a wide range

of indoor sports: floorball, futsal, badminton, volleyball, table

tennis, handball, yoga, aerobic exercise, etc.

The project of the hall was designed by

Atris, s.r.o., and built by Bystroň Group

a.s., keeping to the approved budget of

42.9 million CZK (VAT not included). Extra

costs of indoor equipment such as audio

systems, scoreboards, alarm systems, the

Internet connection, furniture, etc. total

75,000 CZK. 50% of the costs were subsidized

by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports,

and the remaining part is shared equally 25%

between the City Council of Ostrava and the

District Office of Krásné Pole.

“The construction of the sports hall in

Krásné Pole made the dreams of many

generations of local athletes come true.

So far, we have used our open-air facilities,

busy all year long as far as the weather

allows, and the gymnasium of the local

elementary school, which is too small to

comply with the demands of our active

sports teams and sporting public. Finally,

we have a sports facility worthy of the 21st

century,” said Mr Tomáš Výtisk, Mayor of

Krásné Pole.

Parameters of the hall:

•

•

•

•

•

•

the main sportsground 42.5 x 22.5 m

the secondary sportsground 14.5 x 11.5 m

four dressing rooms

two sanitary facilities

a sports equipment storage room

the bleachers accommodate up to

118 sitting, 30 “semi-sitting”, and about

60 standing visitors
