The improvement of the tramway track
bottom, enhancing its stability and
longevity, renewals of overhead lines, and
frets with a flexible mounting of the track
for more silent and faster travel are the
principal reasons of the great summer lockout
of the Svinov Overpass. Now all the usual
tram lines are coming back. “To be the most
modern transport company in the country
does not only mean having the most cutting-
edge vehicles and check-in systems. We also
need to invest in and improve the quality
of the traffic routes to provide better safety,
lower noise, and higher speed. Generally,
2020 is a record year for investment in traffic
routes. This year, we are doing renewals and
repairs worth nearly 400 million CZK,” says
Chairman of the Board and the CEO of DPO,
Mr Daniel Morys.

Na současnou průmyslovou zónu na se-
verovýchodě navazuje území s velkým
potenciálem. Mohly by zde vyrůst desítky
nových výrobních hal, kanceláří a dalších
objektů. Krajští zastupitelé schválili, že
Moravskoslezský kraj a statutární město
Ostrava uzavřou Memorandum o vzájem-
né spolupráci a koordinaci při přípravě
a realizaci projektů v rozšířeném zájmo-
vém území Mošnov.
Rozvojová studie rozšířeného zájmového
území Mošnov slouží jako podkladový mate-
riál Moravskoslezskému kraji a městu Ostra-
va, které už jsou nebo budou vlastníky roz-
vojových nemovitostí na tomto území. Studie
koncepčně identifikuje možnosti využití da-
ného území a také řeší technickou infrastruk-
turu a napojení území na nadřazenou silniční
a železniční síť. Zabývá se také zajištěním
pěší, cyklistické a veřejné dopravy.
„Díky studii máme přehled o plochách vhod-
ných pro výstavbu logistických, výrobních
nebo vědecko-výzkumných objektů. Máme
také odhady investic nutných pro vybudová-
ní potřebné infrastruktury. Nová část průmy-
slové zóny bude napojená na Letiště Leoše
Janáčka Ostrava a Terminál kombinované
dopravy Mošnov, díky čemuž může vznik-
nout výjimečný areál nabízející komplexní
služby jako Mezinárodní logistické centrum
Mošnov,“ prozradil náměstek hejtmana Mo-
ravskoslezského kraje pro finance, investice
a majetek Jaroslav Kania.

It may house dozens of new production
halls, offices, and other facilities. The regional
government has approved the Government
of the Moravian-Silesian Region and the
Council of the Statutory City Ostrava to
sign the Memorandum of Cooperation
and Coordination of Preparation and
Implementation of Projects in the Extended
Location of Interest in Mošnov.
The study of the extended location of
interest, Mošnov, serves as supporting
documentation to the Government of the
Moravian-Silesian Region and the Council
of the Statutory City Ostrava who already own
and/or will own development premises in this
location. The study identifies prospective use
of the area, its technical infrastructure and its
connections to the road and rail networks.
It also deals with public transport as well as
pedestrian and cycling traffic.
“Thanks to the study, we have a summary
of locations suitable for the construction
of logistic, production, and scientific research
facilities. We already have an estimate
of the investment necessary to build the
vital infrastructure. The new part of the
industrial zone will be connected to the Leoš
Janáček Airport Ostrava and the Terminus
of Combined Transport Mošnov, which
will provide for the extraordinary premises
offering complex services as the International
Logistic Centre Mošnov,” said Mr Jaroslav
Kania, Deputy Governor of the Moravian-
Silesian Region for Finance, Investment and
Property.

portal connecting our students and graduates
with employers. The university expects the
k+ portal to increase and improve
cooperation with business and enterprise.
